NH Roof Insurance Claims: What Homeowners Should Know

· New Hampshire exteriors

After wind or hail, your carrier decides what they will pay — not your roofer. Good documentation and a clear repair scope still matter.

First 48 hours

  • Photograph interior and exterior damage with date stamps
  • Mitigate further damage if safe — tarp, buckets, document what you did
  • Call your insurance carrier to open a claim; get a claim number
  • Avoid signing assignment-of-benefits forms you do not understand

Adjuster visit

The adjuster works for the carrier. You can have your contractor present for a collaborative walk — we document what we see and provide a repair scope.

Approval amounts may not match a full code-compliant replacement. Supplements and line-item reviews are normal on larger jobs.

What we will and will not do

We document damage, write scopes, and install to manufacturer specs. We do not guarantee claim approval or act as public adjusters.

You choose the contractor you trust. Compare written scopes, not just who waved at the adjuster.
